Harvest time has always been a moment of celebration in the Tuscan countryside. Months of hard work and dedication are finally rewarded with ripe grapes and the joy of winemaking. The iconic images of girls gently pressing grapes with their feet inside large wooden vats, before mechanization arrived, have become part of Italian culture and cinema. Families worked side by side in the fields, and the delicate pressing done with bare feet helped preserve the quality of the grapes. This tour is perfect for those who wish to experience this authentic tradition and feel the true spirit of rural Tuscan life. A visit to a winery with wine tasting and a typical local lunch is included. Guests will have the chance to take part in the age-old ritual of grape pressing, stepping into the vats and experiencing firsthand one of Tuscany’s most symbolic customs.
The tour also includes one hour of free time in Castellina in Chianti, one of the most charming villages of the Chianti Classico area, rich in history, culture and artisan shops.

Add a stop in San Gimignano or Siena: Extra charge € 225,00 per van for 1.5 hours of free time in the town center. (Adds 2.5 hours to the tour length.)
