Cinque Terre, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, are made up of five beautiful villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, located in a stunning corner of Liguria. The beauty of this land lies not only in its nature and its magnificent beaches, but also in the charm of these five quaint fishing villages, rich in history and architectural treasures such as sanctuaries, ancient fortresses, castle remains, defensive walls and Gothic Ligurian style churches. The first stop is La Spezia, from where you will take a scenic train ride offering unique and unrivalled views over the famous “Gulf of Poets”. You will then explore three of the Cinque Terre villages, enjoying their charming atmosphere, admiring their valuable architectural elements including loggias, churches, tower houses and arcades, and taking in their breathtaking views.
