Where picturesque views and breathtaking scenery blend with art and culinary tradition, you will find Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As we drive through rolling hills, sunflower fields and cypress-lined roads, our focus will be on discovering two of the area’s most iconic products: Pecorino cheese and renowned red wines, treasures still deeply tied to ancient local traditions. Your expert local guide will accompany you throughout the day, starting with a visit to a traditional cheese farm. You will explore the barn, learn about the production process and enjoy a tasting on a beautiful veranda overlooking the valley, sampling pecorino at different stages of aging, fresh ricotta and other specialties.
Our journey continues toward Montalcino, home of Brunello, one of the world’s most prestigious wines, and a charming medieval village where you will have time to wander through craft shops and historic corners. Afterwards, you will be welcomed by a local winery for a guided tour of the estate and its cellar, followed by a Tuscan lunch paired with their finest Brunello wines.
