If you say Antinori in Tuscany, everybody knows what you are talking about: The highest quality wine. In fact, we have documents from 1180 where Rinuccio di Antinoro is described as a wine producer in the countryside outside Florence. Over 6 centuries of history and 26 generations make the Antinori’s one of the oldest wine-producing families in Italy and worldwide. Now the business is run by the Marquis Piero Antinori helped his three daughters. Antinori estate in Chianti Classico area is the oldest and most famous property of the family. What is fascinating is that the winery, always directly managed by the family, has been renewed many times both in shape, techniques and wine blending, but when you get in contact with it, you feel the deep roots that the production has in the past, tightly linked to the territory of Chianti Classico and respectful of its traditions You will first visit this splendid and modern cellar, a work of innovative architecture designed following the indications of the family that guards the precious product. The structure of the cellar, brown-red in color and built with natural materials such as terracotta, Corten wood, glass is focused on the deep and rooted bond with the earth, respecting the surrounded landscape. After an aperitif based on one of the company’s fine wines, we will accompany you to Badia a Passignano where you will visit the ancient cellars that were once part of the Monastery. You will then be delighted by a tasting and lunch at the Michelin starred restaurant owned by the Antinori family.
