This famous winery is named after the Avignonesi family, the founders of the original summer, but since 2009 the owner is a woman from Belgium: Virginie Saverys. It is revolutionized by the production, introducing organic and biodynamic farming methods to craft peculiar, genuine wines with a strong character.

Avignonesi wines defnitely express the richness and beauty of the Montepulciano territory.

These people respect Montepulciano area traditions, where they have been produced for centuries, but they have been meant to be the future of their heritage. Avignonesi winery experience begins with the importance of terroir.

Then we will move to the aging cellars and the Vinsantaia, finishing with a four-course wine-paired gourmet meal in the elegant and panoramic Foresteria. Mostly the lunch will be served on our panoramic terrace.

The menu, created by winery Chef Luca Biancucci features seasonal, organic dishes with locally sourced products, many of which are from their biodynamic vegetable garden. The Marzocco Chardonnay Toscana IGT, La Tonda Sangiovese Toscana IGT, Grandi Annate Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Desiderio Merlot Toscana IGT, Grif Sangiovese - Cabernet Sauvignon Tuscany IGT, 50 & 50 Toscana IGT and typical dessert wines such as Vin Santo of Montepulciano DOC, Occhio di Pernice Vin Santo of Montepulciano DOC.
